Hello PWS team, this is Darcy Dugan in Anchorage, reporting on a successful press conference yesterday at the AOOS headquarters. Scott gave a great presentation and overview of the project in front of an audience that included 
Channel 11, the Alaska Public Radio Network, Congressman Don Young's staff, the MMS, Chugach National Forest, Petroluem News, and others. We even got to see a drifter. Great job Scott!

It was also the innagural voyage of Pete Puffin (pictured at left) who will be accompanying researchers on many adventures in the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for Pete. I hear he goes with the current. (Where will he emerge next?)
